Company Overview

Formosa Petrochemical Corporation was established in 1992, and mainly engages in the production and sales of petroleum products and basic petrochemical raw materials. It is the only private oil refining company in Taiwan. The Company uses imported crude oil as our main raw material to produce various petroleum products, such as gasoline and diesel. We also supply basic petrochemical raw materials such as ethylene, propylene, and butadiene produced through the naphtha cracking process, making us an important upstream supplier in Taiwan's petrochemicals industry.

Throughout our business development process, FPCC has focused on sustainable governance as the core of our longterm business growth. The decision-making mechanisms of our Board of Directors and management team takes economic benefits, corporate responsibility, and social (community) impact into consideration as part of our overall business operation and investment evaluation process, ensuring that the key decisions we make takes both short-term operational stability and long-term value creation into account.

Apart from our core refining and petrochemical production operations, FPCC also possesses a qualified cogeneration power system able to provide a stable supply of steam and electricity to each of the plants at the Formosa Plastics Mailiao Industrial Park, supporting the overall operations of the industrial park. The Company continues to enhance operational stability and supply resilience through a comprehensive layout of operating locations, a diverse subsidiary structure, and a systematic governance framework, laying the foundation for long-term sustainable development.
